Success

Hello. Well this is a school essay but I thought I'd share it with you guys! So sorry if it's a bit formal and like an argument essay. I don't know she wanted us to. Well I hope you enjoy?

Living To Succeed

Success. Something someone has in their life; success can be the smallest thing but can create ripples into something amazing. “Follow every rainbow, till you find your dream.”  -Rodgers and Hammerstein. Success is to reach your ultimate goal, to live in world peace, and to fail is to not succeed. For instance, in the book, Pay It Forward, a boy’s little deed helped millions of people. If the world was a bit nicer, everyone would be that bit more happy.

To start off with, my version of success is to reach my ultimate goal. This is success to me because it’s something at the end of the road, you can look back and be happy of what you accomplished. For example, my cousin graduated from Stanford Law School and is now working at a law firm in New York. I think she will be proud of what she has accomplished in her life when she retires.

Second of all, success is to attain world peace. If the world had world peace, not as many people would be dying, hiding ,knowing that no where is really safe. World peace would cause people to change the way they act; to change the world for the better. World peace would affect the world for the better. If we start acting now, this will create a ripple effect and help the many children that come after us.

Lastly what is not success to me is to fail. To me not succeeding is to see someone dying, to not take the chance and to feel betrayal. I have failed; I have seen my grandparents dying in a hospital bed and I couldn’t do anything which made it worse. You only live once. You have one take, even though everyone says you can have a second chance, you don’t if you think about it. I will fail if I don’t take the chance to take a chance. Finally I have failed because I was betrayed; my friends don’t trust me enough; they killed me without even realizing, But sometimes failing gives us the momentum to stand up and try again. It doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, it only matters if you want to get up.

In conclusion, success is to reach your goals, to achieve world peace, but to fail is to not succeed. In the end success comes from hard work, dedication, and pursuing no matter what others say. “ In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.” -Nikos Kazantzakis. Thus, success is something everyone will achieve. Are you still waiting or have you found it?
