HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY PEOPLE OF THIS INTERNET!!!!! I hope your Fourth of July is fun no matter where you are. Whether you're driving home to avoid traffic or you're celebrating with a party having a BBQ. I hope you enjoy my little Fourth of July story. <3
I was ready. We were about to go to my cousin's house where we're having a Fourth of July party/get-together like every year. We spent all day prepping for today because it was kind of like a pot luck thing. I was overwhelmed with excitement. Some of my cousins I haven't seen in a year!! Wow! We arrived. I looked at the house, my eyes wide open. I knocked.... No one answered....I knocked again....No one answered yet again. I started jamming the doorbell. Finally, my uncle answered, welcoming us in. Korean BBQ, chow mein, alfredo pasta. My mouth was watering by the time I stepped into the house. I went up stairs to the game room, my cousins have already started a game of pole. The time flew by, it was already 9 p.m. The house was quiet because everyone escaped to catch a glimpse of the beautiful sky that is soon to be filled with fireworks. Everyone stole the lawns chairs so my cousin and I took a seat near the middle of the lawn. My heart pounds. Boom. My instinct is to cover my ears (phonophobia-the fear of loud noise). But my eyes are glued to the beautiful night sky. The colors are amazing. You can tell when the grand finale is coming because that's when you get bored. The remainings of the finale fireworks hang in the sky as everyone on the lawn arises and leaves. We enter the house as the party continues until midnight. I leave with a smile on my face and it grows bigger ever time I think of this day again.
