"One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time."
The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, messy, affectionate. And every day from her rooftop perch, Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs up next to her and changes everything.
As the two fall fiercely for each other, stumbling through the awkwardness and awesomeness of first love, Jase's family embraces Samantha - even as she keeps him a secret from her own. Then something unthinkable happens, and the bottom drops out of Samantha's world. She's suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?
A transporting debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another.

Samantha and Jase. This is basically Romeo and Juliet except Romeo (Jase) doesn't find Juliet (Samantha) stalking them from the roof of her house. This book was actually really good. When I first saw this book, I was like uh. It felt kind of awkward reading it with me knowing that the cover is about Romeo and Juliet about to kiss. These are like one of those books where your eyes are glued on to the book and can't be torn off (literatively).
I give this book a 4.5/5.
I WAS SO MAD WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT SAMANTHA'S MOM CRITICALLY INJURED MR> GARRETT AND DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Clay ( Samantha's mom's boyfriend ) was trying to convince her not to tell the Garrett family that her mom nearly killed their dad!!! I was literally yelling at Clay. It was so cute how Jase just came up to Samantha while she was watching the Garretts. It made me so sad how the Garretts family were on the edge all the time.
Well I hope you enjoy My Life Next Door. I really enjoyed it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do <3 ya!!!! BAI!!!!
